I like how a simple game mechanic can just keep building on itself, like in this game. My favorite part...when the cat dies. Hilarious !!!
This is stupid, immature, thoughtless fun and i love you for it !
I have wanted to kill this smartass, emo, piece of crap since i first layed eyes on him.
Too bad he has had the most interesting fights as of late ! He also adds something interesting to an otherwise empty plot line in shippuden. So im glad this is classic PART 1 sasuke since thats the most annoying version.
Anyway i give it FOUR STARS FOR FUN !!!
All my 10s belong to you just for the music. Somebody was in that fiesta mood.
Can you make a sheep-man game (from the megaman franchise) ?
Promise then plummet
When i saw the arcady interface i was like YES!!! But when playing the game the most fun came out of seeing what the enmeies do when they hit you. Im still confused as to what the blonde, bucktooth, crackhead does but ohwell. I stopped playing when i saw we where shooting babies now.
Thats just cheap man... I guess if i was a wanna-be degenerate, teen from the suburbs and never saw dead babies or hookers that would be funny...but im not. Anyway, the game was decent nothing to right home about and not enough variables to keep me interested.
Decent job, at-least i liked the music.
bad, bad, bad
At first i thought this game was going to be a mindless excuse to enact violence on virtual people. Now i know that its a mindless excuse to enact violence on virtual people. But what i discovered is that its a pretty fun and addicting game. Its quick, simple, but has enough to it to involve some thinking. Ill try it more later...hope it gets harder as i progress.
And might i say i really like games that make you want to look at the death animations. Its funny to see a piece of rubble slowly move towards a person that literally falls apart at the site of rubble. Haha squishy people.
I would just like to give you props for the UI design, and interface that the player interacts with. It alone deserves at-least a 10. Great job on the transitions, and cloud effects. Over all awesome graphic design. Id give the game a proper go butt i only have so much time in the day. Besides i think the game just isn't...MY cup of Tea....hehehe. Sorry for the bad pun !
Music is sublime! Gameplay is addictive.
Tower of Heaven is a very interesting concept.
Ascend the tower and try not to get killed SS retro style. But Then you get to the meat of the game and most games in history...variables. The variables, puzzles, and mind f*$ks are what makes this game so addictive and great. Climb this without jumping, go left without pressing left....man you are one sick sadistic person...but i like the pain :)
And im a retro gamer type of guy who loved the megaman2 games and thats what this sooo reminds me of. except its sugar coated with those oh so fun mind twist. And i love how the GOD? of the tower makes all kinds of smart a$$ comments lol.
Finally there's the music....wow...its so good that i had to research teh artist and stalk him on every site hes on. I also will be donating for that cd, its a great idea to just charge $1 dollar and allow the listener to pay what he chooses.
Anyway, its retro so it fights the game, but strangley also sooo soothing, and just plain great to listen too. You sur are a digital bethoven LOL, i love its as addictive as teh gamplay :)
aGAIN THIs game rocks.
If you like old school and brain teasers, then this is the game for you :) Cream puffs who likes easy ,crap, gimped, noob games of today need not apply :)
Hahah, thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed the music! Thank you very much for your support as well; currently I'm basically just living off music sales.
And yeah, it seems too many people on here are spoiled by today's easy games! It takes a real gamer to appreciate retro goodness.
Pure Candy Coated Nostalgia
Where is the 11 star rating?
What can i say man? Genius...
So much balancing that this had to take. You just don't slap a sprite in a SS game like this and walk away. The idea is ingenious alone. I was born 1980 so i feel like my identity lies with 8bit games. If i whould have been introduced to this as a small kid it whould have blew my 8 year old mind.
This is any retro gamers paradise and its a blast playing these icons in the NES universe in a Mario game. Exploiting all there talents and getting around all there weaknesses.
You get all my stars, all my respect and all my free time. LOL
At first i thought...ya another final fantasy fan, but wow was i surprised !
It introduces you to a nice little setting and story. Now the gameplay itself is very immersible and so full of choice. Each spell, sword ability, and item has its own unique little place(you can even switch weapons on the fly). As an old school paper RPG guy and a video game RPG fan like secret of mana, chrono, and FF i have to say that it carries alot of choice, and game play similar to that. The bosses are challenging but i still like the pacing of each enemy group. Its kind of like a gauntlet and the enemies slowly get harder to beat.
I really like the art style its suited to that whole anime FF crowd but i tottaly dig it and when the red head does her special move thing shes very cute and full of ...erm bounce...but they are not obnoxiously bouncing or big ^^ Little touches like that are very nice and i looked forward to every time i did a special move with her. Humor like that is just to characteristic of that culture and is worth the animation sequence.
HINT: If you click her boobs even during the fight they bounce as well.
Adjustable difficulty, and level up options are an extreme plus up. Thsi is by far the best RPG exp i have had on newgrounds...was tottaly not expecting it :) Great curve ball my friend. I hope i do as half a job as you when i make my SideScroller sword game. If i could give an 11 i would.
Well thats pretty much it, i checked your DA page and i think its cool that your doing a part 2 ...good luck.
Great story...game play only went so far !
First off...im not really into gritty, pseudo-futuristic plot lines where the protagonist is a science experiment and has to kill stuff. But, damned if that spot on narrative didn't drag me into the game ! It has the potential for great character development which always gets my attention, or anyone elses attention for that matter.
The game play is a different story. While fine enough for about 3-4 minutes it did seem to become very repetitive. I don't kno...maybe i didn't play it enough but with a gripping plot like that you should keep us at the edge of our seats with different enemies, different skills, and different surprising challenges.
Controls are pretty damn good, although i wish you simply had a melee button which i can use to attack with instead of a whole button to switch to melee then aim with the mouse again...it just takes too much time and slows down the action. I personally commend you on allowing the player to change the button configuration. Thats one large step in the right direction.
My score for this game is pretty solid and a hell of a lot better than i can do. Just my opinion.
